Update from ChannelGuide 360! Print E-mail
Monday, 27 March 2006

We’re pleased to announce an upgrade to the ChannelGuide 360 site. First off we have updated our channel guide software so now you can see the number of programs per category as well as click on the RSS link to see the video. This feature does require you to use a good browser not Internet Explorer however. Firefox will work fine.

If you’d like to see the video then click on the name of the IPTV program you’re interested in. Then click on the RSS link. Now not all of the feeds support browsing the programs provided so if you get a page full of code—don’t worry. Just press the back arrow in your browser and pick another program. We have added a field to the database that will show you whether or not the link is viewable. So look at that first before you click on the RSS feed link.

As always of course you can copy the feed link into RSS Radio and you can download the programs for playback on your Xbox 360.

There is other good news.

We have added a number of new IPTV Programs:

Joe Farro writes “Downstairs Theater is a monthly web show created to be entertaining first, and informative second. Hosts Joe Farro and Louis Martinez take you to interesting websites, provide you wiht comedic tech tips, demonstrate unique gadget, and take you into your past. Downstairs Theater also provides special project episodes, such as tutoirals on the free 3D modeling software Daz.”

Get it Done Using Technology - This video Podcast, inspired by Leo Laporte, and all my favorite podcasts such as systm, twit, commandn, diggnation, macbreak, and a little bit of Tiki Bar TV, is a video Podcast how to technology show covering topics from cell phones, and network cables to mp3 players, Windows, and Macintosh computers. Each easy to understand video Podcast will give you all the information you need to complete the topic at hand with ease. If you are looking for a video podcast that will teach you something, instead of the usual video podcast, then add this video podcast to your subscriptions. This video Podcast is normally only a few minutes in length. Tony Gillilan hosts the show.

Jenn writes “OpenAlpha is a vidcast about video games and tech, hosted by Jenn Cutter. You may have heard of this not-so-newfangled thing called a podcast. This isn’t quite that; it’s a vidcast. Specifically, it’s my vidcast about games and random tech. The tech stuff takes longer for me to put together, so it has yet to make an appearance in the show.”
